Innovative Plastics snap-in conduit clip spacer Duct Spacers

Clip Spacers

Easy-to-use, snap-in conduit clip spacers designed for both exposed and underground conduit installations.

A conduit clip spacer — also called a snap-in conduit spacer, single-tier spacer, or wall spacer — is a snap-in ABS fitting that holds HDPE or PVC conduit at fixed spacing for both exposed and underground runs. Rather than forming a stacked, interlocking grid, clip spacers snap directly onto the conduit itself, clipping over each run to hold it parallel to its neighbors at a consistent, repeatable gap. They are designed to organize conduit before entrenchment, enabling secure fastening and clean alignment whether the conduit is fed directly off the reel or cut to fixed lengths. By keeping individual runs separated and orderly during placement, they make the line easier to handle, lay, and backfill while preventing conduits from crowding together or shifting as the trench is filled.

Manufactured from durable, warp-resistant ABS resin, clip spacers come in 4-way and 6-way configurations and accommodate conduit sizes from 1 inch (25 mm) up to 2 inches (50 mm). The 4-way configuration suits narrower runs, while the 6-way handles wider single-tier arrangements, and the range of trade sizes lets a crew match the spacer to the exact conduit on the job. Because they clip on rather than thread together, they are well suited to lighter, single-tier exposed or underground runs where a full multi-row duct bank isn’t required — pole risers, building entrances, service laterals, and similar installations that need organized spacing without the bulk of a stacked assembly.

The chief advantage of clip spacers is fast, tool-free assembly. Each spacer snaps into place within seconds, with no banding, fasteners, or special tools required, so a crew can space out a run quickly and move on to entrenchment. This speed, combined with the warp-resistant ABS construction, makes them a practical choice for high-volume work and for installations exposed to weather and handling before they are covered. For guidance on positioning and spacing, see our guide to installing conduit duct spacers and the considerations behind correct duct bank spacing.

Choose clip spacers when you have a single tier of conduit and want the simplest, quickest way to keep runs evenly separated. When a project calls for multi-row, concrete-encased, or direct-burial duct banks that must be stacked and locked into a rigid grid, step up to our interlocking base and intermediate spacers for stacked duct banks instead. Both products belong to the broader duct spacers family, so you can mix the right spacer to each section of a project while keeping consistent spacing throughout.
